Tai Chi with Wayne (In-person)

Mondays, 10:00 - 11:30 am 

$10 members / $15 non-members

No previous experience is necessary. The standing postures are slow and gentle movements that can bring about a boost to your energy, mood, and balance while strengthening muscles, tendons and ligaments. Breathwork coordinates with the movements and we will explore standing and sitting meditation.

Get up & Go (In-person)

Mondays, 11:45 am to 12:45 pm

$10 members / $15 non-members

This class is specifically geared towards seniors with mobility issues. In order to participate you will need to have medical clearance from your Doctor. (For those of you who submitted clearance for Osteofit, the same form can be used)

Equipment will be provided but if you have your own bands please bring them to class. If you do require a band there will be a $5 charge

Yoga with Bonnie (In-person)

Tuesdays, 10:30 am - 12:00 pm

$10 members / $15 non-members

Yoga practice is adapted for beginners and those interested in a more gentle approach. You will learn how to deal with stress, feel more relaxed, gain awareness, and keep your body moving with ease.

Osteo-Fit with Elizabeth (In-person & online)

Wednesdays, 10:30 - 11:30 am  

$10 members / $15 non-members

This class is a BC Women’s Hospital-certified fall prevention program for individuals with osteoporosis, low spine density, and those who are at risk of fractures. It provides safe and gentle exercises to improve strength, coordination, balance, enhance confidence, and reduce the risk of falls. Participants will need to get medical clearance within four weeks of participating.

Zumba (In-person)

Wednesdays,11:00 - 12:00 pm

$10 for members / $15 for non-members

Join our Zumba class for seniors and experience the joy of movement! Our specially designed class offers fun and energetic routines tailored to seniors’ needs, with low-impact movements that are gentle on joints and muscles. Led by Ericka, our certified instructor, our classes provide a supportive and inclusive atmosphere where everyone can move at their own pace, regardless of experience level.

Fitness, Stretching and Better Movement (In-person)

Thursdays, 10:30 to 11:30 am

Dulce is a certified fitness instructor who will be teaching Fitness, Stretching, and Better Movement this fall. This is a perfect opportunity to stimulate your senses and improve coordination, maintain mobility, increase your strength and flexibility

Physical Fitness Strength Class (In-person)

Thursdays, 12:00pm to 12:45pm

$10 members / $15 non-members

We invite you to join our class focusing on cognitive health, where we’ll explore how the brain and body work together. Emphasizing coordination, agility, balance, and overall fitness, this program is beneficial for everyone but especially those with Parkinson’s disease as it can help prevent or delay the onset of symptoms. Participating in activities such as aerobic exercise, strength training, and practicing balance, agility, and multitasking can benefit all participants.
