The Curbside Fresh market is a joint effort between The South Granville Seniors Centre and the Greater Vancouver Food Bank. This project assists seniors and other vulnerable people living in Westside Vancouver's "food desert" (defined as a zone with few or no grocery stores or produce stands).
Our vision is for all Westside residents to have secure access to adequate amounts of affordable, nutritious, and culturally appropriate food that is produced in an environmentally sustainable way and provided in a manner that promotes human dignity. We take a community capacity building approach to address the issue of food security in our neighbourhood.
This program will be resuming in Summer 2017.
